How do I book a Session?

Booking a session is easy. Just call, email or message me on Facebook and I will be happy to arrange a time with you.  Sessions are booked during the day Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays in the studio. Outdoor sessions are available any of those days, as well as Saturdays.

When should I book a Newborn session?

I suggest you book your Newborn sessions in advance of your baby’s birth.  Bringing a new person into the world is hectic enough without having to schedule appointments as well!  Contact me with your due date and I will schedule you in.  I will then stay in touch and we will finalize the time of your session once your child is born.  Newborn sessions are booked on Wednesdays and Thursdays only.

How do I pay?

Full payment is due at the session.  Cash and Credit Cards (VISA, MasterCard or AMEX) are accepted at the session.  Email Money Transfer is accepted the day before your session.

What can I expect during a photo session?

My goal for each session is to create a relaxed atmosphere that allows your child(ren) to be themselves.  I will take as many photos as your loved one allows.  I will always attempt a few posed shots but I prefer to allow your child to show his or her true personality to capture those special moments to hold on to.

How many people can we include in our family portraits?
Each session is booked for one family.  My studio is cozy and comfortable for up to 6 family members.  If you would like to book an extended family session, one hour on location sessions are available.


What happens after the session?

I will have your proofs uploaded into a private gallery on my website within 7-10 days after your session. An access code will be emailed to you and you will be able to log into a personal gallery to choose your images.  Once I receive your choices, I will edit the images you have chosen.  Your high resolution images will be available in 7-10 days to be emailed to you at no charge or they can be transferred to a USB Flash Drive for $10.    **Please note these times may vary for Mini-Session Events.

Your online gallery will be available 1 year after your session, if you choose to add more images for purchase.

As I know mistakes can happen, computers can crash, etc...your final, edited images will be backed up in my system for 1 year after your session. After that, they will be deleted as I cannot store them indefinitely.

Can I purchase additional images?

Of course you can!  I will choose and upload the best images of the session into your private gallery. Each session includes a certain number of images, however, you are free to purchase any additional images for $5.00 each.  Just let me know which ones you would like when you place your order.  Payment on any additional images is due before the images are emailed to you or when the USB Flash Drive is picked up.

Do you edit the pictures?

Yes I do.  I fully edit each image you choose from your gallery.  Editing includes cropping, obvious blemish removal and brightening.  Editing DOES NOT include changing the colour of objects, clothing or backgrounds, changing  the shape or size of your body or altering your appearance,  or removing pictures or logos from clothing.

Can I buy all of the pictures you take?

No I do not offer this as an option.  Because I prefer to let your child relax and be themselves during each session, I will take many pictures and not all will be up to the standards I hold for myself.  I want each picture I offer to you to be the best possible.  After the session, I will go through all of the pictures and pick the best of the bunch to upload to your gallery.

My son fell and bumped his head.  Now he has a bruise.  Should I reschedule our session?

Typically there is no need to reschedule for minor cuts and bruises.  Each picture I offer you will be fully edited and most superficial wounds can be edited out.  If you feel your child is sore or upset and may not be themselves, please let me know as soon as possible so we can reschedule.  I want your child to be as comfortable as possible for their session.

What if my child is fussy and uncooperative during the session?

I haven’t had a session yet where I have not been able to capture beautiful images of my subject.  Each child is different and reacts differently to the camera.  That is why I strive to work with your little one to make them as comfortable as possible.  IF there is an extreme case and we are not able to capture any photos, I will work with you to reschedule a session.  ***Please note full payment will still be due at the first session. 

Tips for a Successful Session:

Schedule a session during your child’s typical ‘happy’ time

Try to feed your child and have them nap before their session

Bribery works! Bring a small treat to give to your child at the end of their session or snacks for during the session.
